Richard Anderson - candidate for Trempealeau County sheriff

Trempealeau County Sheriff Richard Anderson Announces Candidacy for Re-Election

It is with great anticipation that I, Richard Anderson, announce my intent to file for re-election as Democrat for the Office of Sheriff of Trempealeau County. As a member of Trempealeau County Law Enforcement for the past 34 years I am proud to say that I have upheld my duty to serve and protect the citizens of Trempealeau County and I am looking forward to continue serving you as Sheriff.

I am a lifelong resident of Trempealeau County and currently reside in the Village of Ettrick, with my wife of 31 years, Marie. I began my career in law enforcement in 1976 when I joined the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office as a part-time deputy / jailer / dispatcher. I served as Chief of Police for the Village of Ettrick Police Department from 1977 to 1980 at which time I was hired by Trempealeau County as a full-time deputy within the sheriff’s department. In 1999 I was assigned to drug investigations and served as a detective before being elected to my first term as Sheriff. As Sheriff I have strived to provide superior service to the citizens of Trempealeau County, yet remaining under budget for the past three years.

Trempealeau County deserves a Sheriff who is dedicated to protecting the hard-working men and women in our communities. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office should not just be a service of the county, but rather a part of the community. If re-elected as Sheriff of Trempealeau County I will continue my commitment to working with employees, County Government, businesses, organizations and most importantly the citizens of Trempealeau County to combat the threat of crime and ensure safety within our communities.
